We’re working to imprint Scripture onto the hearts of our children.
We roll up our horns of paper, and proclaim God’s greatness to one another with His Words.
We SHOUT and we whisper… we sing and we speak these twenty-eight words to one another, so that later each sound will echo in our hearts.
It’s nothing fancy. Just any piece of paper, rolled and stapled together works, as we speak of the great things God has done.
In the eyes of a child, it is so much more than scrap. With a crown on their heads, they are captivated.
We say a few words… they echo those same words… we say the next line… they mimic us… and on and on until the melody plays in our minds, and the declarations of His greatness and His mighty acts drip from our lips.
“Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
his greatness no one can fathom.
One generation commends your works to another;
they tell of your mighty acts.”
Psalm 145:3-4
Want to join our family in memorizing Psalm 145??? Watch the videos below and you’ll be part way to engraving the words in your minds. :)
Ariya and Elliana attempt to show how “echoing Scripture” works! :) It didn’t quite go as practiced, but oh, how I love these girls…
Isaiah gets in on the fun too…{It helps me to remember that if my four year-old can memorize these verses, so can I!} No, he’s not always this calm! :) I’ll be adding more of a “normal” rendition to our Facebook page later!
