Because I don’t want to forget
this boy in action
with his winter boots and knight helmet
and bright green recorder for a sword.
And the note I found on his pillow
on the night I wrote this post.
Next to his prayer rock,
and frog, and puppy, and a dozen other stuffed animals.
(translation: “I love you Isaiah. I love to see God working in you and changing you from a wild boy to a nice and sometimes calm boy. Sweet dreams.” –Anonymous)
Words lovingly written to encourage.
Words that made me smile
to think of my wild – sometimes calm – boy
who melts the heart of this mama every-single-time.
Dressed now as a firefighter, axe and all,
ready to save the day.
So full of passion and energy
and yet stops to give his weary mom a hug.
Treasuring who God has made him to be.
Seeking how to build him up without tearing him down.
Praying that he will continue to grow strong and courageous in the Lord.
Loving and cherishing every moment of being a mommy to this boy.

This is so sweet! The post, the note, the boy! The whole thing.
Thank you, Lindsey! Oh, how I love that boy!
Praying for you today! :)
