Your beautiful eyes lit up when you realized that today was the day you’ve been waiting for.
For it was your special Birthday day!
Today you turned THREE!
You were so excited to wake up to a house decorated with balloons and banners!
When your daddy asked what you wanted to eat for your special day, you smiled and said, “Candles! Happy Bir-day to Bella!”
When he asked again, you smiled some more with that precious twinkle in your eyes and said, “Spiders!” as you giggle, giggle, giggled.
O Bella Love- your quiet, silly, mischievous, caring, joy-filled, incredible personality brings smiles to our faces and joy to our hearts.
I’ve treasured watching as God works in your little heart, and grows you into the girl He’s created you to be.
You are such an incredible, beautiful girl! Always full of smiles, snuggles, and love.
I love how you wore your monkey jammies all-day-long (except during our fun trip to the lake) and how you could be heard singing, “Happy Birthday to Bella” all throughout the day! :)
You love to read books, play, swim, ride your bike, talk to your sisters, and to pray.
This morning you were so excited to get to pray on your birthday.
You prayed, “Dear Jesus, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for Bella’s birthday. Thank You for candles. Thank You for my special day. Thank You for my food and thank You for my family. Thank You, Thank You for ummmm…. balloons and Rice Krispies, and Daddy, and swimming, and monkey jammies, and spiders.” :)
Sweet Girl, keep praying to the King of kings. Give Him your heart and your life, and He will continue to do amazing things in and through you. And your sweet, kind, loving, joy-filled, quiet personality will be used for His glory!

Wow!! I can’t believe she is 3! When I started reading your blog, she was the baby, and she was still frozen in my mind as the baby! Definitely a big girl now! :) So precious.
Catherine, Your comment brought tears to my eyes, as that is exactly what I was thinking as I hit that publish button. She was just four months old when I started this blog, and now even “baby” Ariya is almost a year older than she was at that point. It’s so precious to see her grow, but I can’t help but want to bottle up time for a while and savor it a little longer. ;)
Happy birthday to your little girl! My younger daughter is 3-1/2, so very close in age. I love the balloon doorway you created for her, and think I will do something similar when my older daughter turns 5 soon!
